OneStream Adds SensibleAI Forecast and Studio to FedRAMP High
By Grant Deker · OneStream Solution Architect ·
OneStream has added SensibleAI Forecast and SensibleAI Studio to its FedRAMP High authorization, so federal agencies running the OneStream Government Community Cloud can now forecast and build AI models against their own financial data without moving it outside the authorization boundary. The announcement was made on September 2, 2026.
What Changed
OneStream's government cloud has been FedRAMP authorized since 2018, first at the Moderate level and then at High as of January 2025. The new announcement extends that High authorization to two AI products. Under it, agencies can apply SensibleAI Studio across planning, close, reporting and analysis processes, and use SensibleAI Forecast for forecasting on data that stays inside the Government Community Cloud.
Why It Matters
For federal finance teams, the barrier to AI has rarely been interest. It has been the question of where the data goes. Keeping model-building and forecasting inside an already-authorized boundary removes one of the larger objections to piloting AI on sensitive financial data. In the release, IDC Research Director Heather Herbst described authorizations like FedRAMP High as giving CFOs "a clear signal that its AI capabilities are backed by rigorous, independently assessed controls." The release also cites OneStream's own research that 47% of executives have made major decisions on inaccurate data, which is the problem these tools are meant to address.
Our Take
An authorization makes AI available; it does not make it useful. Agencies and contractors still need clean, well-governed data models, a sensible forecasting design, and clear ownership of who reviews AI output. If you run OneStream in a federal or regulated environment, this is a good moment to assess whether your current model structure and data quality are ready for SensibleAI before you start a pilot.
